Key Responsibilities:
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest and hotel requests and emergencies.
- Interact with guests and employees in a friendly and respectful manner, maintaining confidentiality.
- Patrol and inspect the property regularly, reporting any irregularities or hazardous conditions.
- Operate the property gate system, providing friendly and informative assistance.
- Enforce company policies and all applicable local, state, and federal laws while on duty.
- Maintain the safety and orderliness of guest and employee conduct on the premises.
- Perform daily lock-up and safety procedures as directed.
- Respond to guest needs and requests in a timely, professional manner.
- Conduct monthly inventories of security equipment (e.g., flashlights, keys, documents) and report discrepancies.
- Report any conditions that may impact security operations.
- Follow all hotel policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Cross-train in various security tasks as assigned by the Manager on Duty.
- Adhere to the company’s appearance and dress code at all times.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Strong verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to thrive in a multi-tasking, fast-paced environment.
- Calm and diplomatic customer service skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
- Honest, trustworthy, and reliable team player.
- Capable of working with minimal supervision.
- Able to work indoors and outdoors as necessary.
- Available to work overnight, weekends, and holidays.
- Previous hospitality experience preferred.
Working Conditions:
- Indoor: Temperature-controlled, clean environments such as offices, guest rooms, and public areas. Walking on various surfaces, including slippery areas.
- Outdoor: Exposure to varying weather conditions, with walking on various surfaces (e.g., cement, tile, pavement).
- Minimal exposure to hazardous substances, including possible blood-borne pathogens.
Physical Demands:
- Stands/walks approximately 50% of the shift; sits/drives the other 50%.
- Must be able to respond quickly to emergencies anywhere on the property.
- Bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, reaching, and lifting (up to 50lbs) are required.
- Flexibility and good reflexes for operating electric/gas carts.
- Daily use of stairs.
