What are the responsibilities and job description for the Demand Planning Manager position at eos Products?
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute demand forecasts across multiple accounts and retail channels
- Analyze historical sales data, market trends, and promotional activities to refine forecasts
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, finance, and operations teams to align on business objectives
- Participate in S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning) meetings
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to demand planning and forecasting accuracy
- Identify opportunities to improve demand planning processes and implement best practices
- Meet regularly with representatives of customer supply chain and buying organizations to review forecasts and supply chain performance and support delivery to customers.
- Support new product launch activity through the development of needed forecasts for initial inventory as well as forecast scenarios for replenishment.
- You will be a key member of S&OP process. You will own and lead demand consensus meetings (S&OP) including deck preparation, key drivers for changes through appropriate waterfalls, gaps to plan, risks and ops, action items, sales plan alignment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (Supply Chain, Engineering, Mathematics, Business)
- 6-8 years’ experience in demand planning and forecasting (preferred at a CPG Manufacturer supporting a major retail account)
- Key competencies: Business Acumen, Strategic Thinking, Influencing Others, Building Relationships
- Technical aptitude and Forecasting and data software experience required (i.e. advanced Excel, SAP, Power BI, Syndicated data/ Nielson etc.)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced ambiguous environment
- Additional Skills
- Experience in sales and demand forecasting for international markets is a plus
- Ability to think through different demand and supply scenarios and understand their impact on inventory projections
- Proven track record of utilizing data to drive decisions
- Agility and excellent prioritization skills
- Strong coaching and mentoring abilities to develop team members' skills
