Eos Serenity Lodge is a trauma-informed, women’s residential recovery center dedicated to providing compassionate and evidence-based support for women healing from addiction and trauma. We are looking for a licensed Substance Use Disorder Counselor (SUDC) to join our team and work closely with clients at key points in their recovery journey. This role is pivotal in helping our clients establish a foundation for lasting recovery.
Position Overview:Under the supervision of the Clinical Director and Executive Director, the Residential Case Manager/SUDC works closely with clients during their intake, treatment, and discharge, as well as during individual and group therapy sessions. The SUDC collaborates with the clinical team to develop and update treatment plans, facilitate aftercare, and ensure clients are supported throughout their journey to wellness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial intake and discharge assessments for clients when needed.
- Collaborate with the clinical team to modify and address individual treatment goals.
- Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans alongside the clinical team.
- Provide counseling and psychoeducation to clients individually and in groups (according to licensure).
- Facilitate family sessions to support clients’ recovery and family understanding of the recovery process.
- Conduct crisis interventions, as necessary, aligned with the client’s immediate needs.
- Ensure thorough, timely documentation of all treatment updates, clinical notes, and discharge plans.
- Coordinate post-discharge care, including sober living arrangements, recovery meetings, and medical referrals.
- Maintain client records in compliance with documentation standards and timelines.
- Other duties as assigned to support clients’ recovery and team collaboration.
Qualifications:Required:
- Active SUDC license in the state of Utah (required).
- CPR certification.
- Must pass a thorough background check and drug test.
- Minimum of two years of continuous sobriety.
Preferred:
- Advanced Substance Use Disorder Counselor (ASUDC) license.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
- Skilled in creating positive change and supporting clients in crisis.
- Proficient in documentation and managing caseloads, with experience in electronic record-keeping (Best Notes).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Collaborative mindset, able to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team setting.
