WHAT YOU WILL DO:
We are seeking a detail oriented and proactive AV Enterprise Production technician with a focus on streaming to provide event and broadcast support to the client in collaboration with their in-house team. This position is responsible for providing seamless end-to-end event production support, which will include technical planning, equipment set up, operation and tear-down to support in room, video conferencing and streaming efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of industry standard cloud streaming products, a commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on emerging technology, and an excellent customer-facing manner.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Setup, operate and tear down approved audio-visual systems and equipment for events and video production, including streaming and video conferencing solutions.
- Continuously monitor ongoing events, assisting with any technical escalations that arise during those events in a timely manner.
- Provide consultation or execute all executive streaming events globally
- Operate and maintain a fleet of streaming equipment.
- Facilitate captioning and downlink facility, including remote access and operation of the relevant equipment.
- Maintain knowledge base of industry standard of cloud streaming products and able to assist with SRT, RIST, and ZIXI protocols.
- Work closely with IT and cross-functional business partners to support various A/V systems.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software, providing technical support, ensuring timely resolution or escalation as required.
- Documenting status of any issues, providing regular updates to the client, team and end users as appropriate.
- Assist in planning, implementing, and supporting global office builds, retrofits, and decommissioning efforts.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
- Ability to be self-motivated and accountable in a fast-paced, independent environment.
- Ability to think creatively as well as methodically regarding technical issues.
- Knowledge of streaming protocols and best practices.
- Knowledge of enterprise production and video conferencing environments.
- Strong interpersonal, customer service, and conflict resolution skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to client culture.
- Ability to work both independently as well as with a team.
- Ability to handle physical tasks such as lifting large/heavy objects and physical integration/maintenance work.
