WHAT YOU WILL DO:
A successful candidate will play a key role in working with stakeholders to ensure they receive an outstanding experience and flawless technical support. The Executive Audio Visual (AV) Technical Team Manager will be responsible for managing and supporting all audiovisual systems within meeting rooms. This role involves ensuring the operational efficiency of AV equipment, providing high-quality support for senior leadership events, and leading a team of AV technicians globally.This position is additionally responsible for ensuring proper commissioning retrofits and new builds.
Skills and Competencies:
- Minimum 5 years experience in corporate A.V. Support role
- 3 years of management experience
- Experience with the following technologies - Cisco, Crestron, Extron, Shure, Clearone, and other AV/VC related hardware and signal flow, Zoom and Webex platforms
- Proven experience in an AV technical role, with a strong understanding of AV systems and technologies.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to client culture
- Ability to handle physical tasks such as lifting large/heavy objects and physical integration/maintenance work
- Ability to develop and deliver key performance indicators and metrics to ensure service health.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Team Management:
- As the Executive AV Technical Team manager, you will foster a collaborative environment where ideas are freely exchanged, and team members are inspired to reach their full potential. Your leadership will be key in driving a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Schedule team members for event support and meetings, ensuring coverage and redundancy.
- Technical Expertise and Support:
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair AV equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and high-quality audio and visual experiences.
- Set up and configure AV systems for meetings and events, tailoring setups to specific requirements of senior leadership events.
- Stay updated on the latest AV technologies and trends to recommend upgrades and improvements.
- Event Support:
- Ensure events are thoroughly planned for and accommodated in order for a faultless event to take place.
- React quickly and decisively should an issue arise during an event to minimize impact.
- Coordinate with event planners and stakeholders to understand event requirements and customize AV setups accordingly.
- Conduct pre-event checks and rehearsals to ensure all AV systems function as expected.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Partner with stakeholders at all levels to understand their vision and requirements for events.
- Provide technical advice and support to non-technical staff and stakeholders, ensuring they can effectively use AV equipment.
