What are the responsibilities and job description for the Buyer position at EOTM – Partners Professional?
Partners Personnel is Mid-Level Buyer, for our client in the Lebanon, TN area. This is a contract to hire position. Hybrid. $ 45,000 to 50,000/DOE. Monday to Friday.
Job Responsibilities:
- Identify suppliers who can provide continuous product supply, ensuring product quality, value, and innovation.
- Maintain positive relationships with vendors by resolving issues related to invoicing, product quality, and delivery.
- Choose products based on market application, product performance, and vendor reputation.
- Negotiate prices and order quantities based on customer demand, market conditions, and warehousing efficiency.
- Establish long-term contracts to secure a continuous supply of product.
- Respond to emergency situations by obtaining product and expediting delivery.
- Provide pricing and product information to the sales team, offering recommendations on pricing structures and margins.
Job Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in purchasing or a related field required.
- Previous experience working in supply chain preferred
- High School Diploma/GED required;
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
- MS Word, Excel, Outlook, ERP or related system
- 2-4 years of experience within the foodservice industry is preferred.
