Product Specialist needed in Bradenton, FL (onsite - not remote)
Full-time 8:30 - 5:30 Monday through Friday
This is a long-term temp job that will go permanent for the right person.
Payrate: $20/hr.
Job Summary:
The product specialist will manage all details of the product line we purchase and sell.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Duties/Responsibilities:
• Maintain supplier price sheets (product options, features, prices, and timelines).
• Maintain sales price sheets.
• Review landed costs and margins to evaluate target prices.
• Coordinate price changes with suppliers, negotiate increases, and update the system, sales, and online pricing when necessary.
• Responsible for Benchmarking prices within our supply chain.
• Conduct price comparisons with alternative suppliers.
• Conduct competitor price comparisons.
• Source new suppliers and products.
• Manage product development process.
• Manage the new supplier onboarding process.
• Manage & track the product development, marketing, and customer sample expenses.
• When a QC or packing issue occurs, work with the supplier on corrective action to improve the product's quality, features, or packing. Coordinate the change with all departments for a new product development project. As needed, update the supplier’s packing sheets, system notes, and QC sheets.
• Assist with regulatory compliance for our products.
• Assist Purchasing III with quotes and timeline requests, lost deals, product replacements, supplier credits, supplier invoices, double-checking Pos, RFID chip inventory, and chip credits.
• Assists the Director and Purchasing manager with projects and tasks.

Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent.
At least two years of Purchasing, Sourcing, or Product Development related experience is required (3-5 years’ experience is preferred).
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
