IMMEDIATE NEED!
We are seeking a Purchasing Assistant (or Logistics Assistant) in Bradenton, FL. This is a temp-to-perm position! Must be familiar with reviewing Purchase Orders and cross referencing for accuracy.
Payrate depends on experience : $18 - $20 / hr.
Hours : 8 : 30 a.m. - 5 : 30 p.m. Monday - Friday
- Update systems with shipping details
- Ability to input information into computer and issue Purchase Orders
- Detailed oriented
- Able to prioritize and balance short- and long-term tasks
- Able to adapt quickly in changing environments
- Open to learning and acquiring new skills
- Time management
- Ability to multitask
- Proficient in data entry and general computer skills, specifically Microsoft Excel and Outlook
- Must be able to effectively communicate via written communication with supplier(s) on issues along with follow-up
- Attention to detail with confirmation files
- Facilitate purchasing of non-inventory product
- Facilitate purchasing of raw materials
- Operate within local purchasing policies
- Send purchase orders to vendors
- Add new items to purchasing system
- Assist in developing profitable purchasing strategies
- Expediting of purchase orders under direction
- Track the status of all purchase orders
- Maintain address system in the purchasing system
- Administer purchasing processes to assure correct transactions
- Maintain proficiency in computerized purchasing / business systems;.
- Getting quotes, purchasing materials, billing
- Improve purchasing tools, processes and procedures
- Create purchase orders of corresponding vendors / suppliers
- Submit purchase orders and process merchandise returns
- Assist the purchasing team with diversified administrative tasks
- Transmit information to factories & purchasing services
- Entering sales / purchase orders in a timely manner
- Submit purchase orders to suppliers and transportation companies
- Prepare purchase orders by verifying specifications and price
