Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Masters-level or higher Counselor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mental health support, particularly in child and family counseling. This role involves providing therapeutic services to individuals and groups, facilitating healing and personal growth through various therapeutic techniques. The Counselor will work collaboratively with clients to assess their needs, develop treatment plans, and implement effective interventions. Fluency in Spanish is required.
Duties
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to address emotional, behavioral, and psychological issues.
- Perform diagnostic evaluations to assess client needs and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Utilize various therapeutic approaches, including art therapy and motivational interviewing, to engage clients effectively.
- Provide case management services, including coordinating care with other professionals and community resources.
- Facilitate group therapy sessions that promote peer support and shared experiences among clients.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client progress, treatment plans, and any relevant medical terminology.
- Conduct research to stay updated on best practices in counseling and mental health interventions.
- Collaborate with families to support children’s emotional well-being and development.
