Drives gasoline, liquefied gas, or electric powered industrial truck equipped with lifting devices such as forklift, boom, scoop, lift beam and swivel hook, fork grapple, or clamps, to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials.
Rotating schedule: 4 on, 3 off. 12-hour shifts. Thursday - Sunday 4:00 PM - 4:00 AM; Friday - Sunday 4:00 PM - 4:00 AM.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Moves Levers and presses pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus. Positions forks, or other lifting device under, over or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products or materials, and transports load to designated area. Unloads and stacks material by raising, lowering and shifting the lifting device side to side. Inventories materials on work floor, and supply workers with materials as needed. Loads and unloads materials onto or off pallets, skids, or lifting device. Spotting empty trailers at loading docks and moving loaded trailers from loading docs utilizing the yard truck.
- Fills fuel tank or replaces liquefied gas tank.
- Perform Lockout Tag Out Procedures for various tasks.
- Assist with quality analysis. Assist with equipment calibration. Assist with equipment monitoring and inspections.
- Conducting cycle counts (physical inventory) of finished product and raw materials.
- Help safety manager prepare safety training and present training to other employees. Conduct safety audits (looking for unsafe conditions or unsafe acts).
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Prioritizing and plans work activities, uses time efficiently, Completes work in timely manner
- Organizes or schedules other people and their tasks
- Monitors own work to ensure quality, strives to increase productivity
- Able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events
- Follows instructions, Responds to management direction
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concreate variables in standardized situations. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively to employees of the organization.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and dive in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
