This position ensures the product (PERLITE) is packaged according to customer order safely and efficiently.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Working Safely is Priority.

• Comply with all safety & environmental regulations, OSHA regulations, and company policies.
• Packs product into bags, bulk bags.
• Communicates with plant operator to ensure quality product is bagged/produced
• Identifies bag type, pallet type, and code stickers.
• Remove, replace, and record broken and light weight bags.
• Dump broken bags and refeed non-conforming product.
• Check and record bag weights. Maintains lot code sequence per work order.
• Assists in shut down activities for maintenance activities
• Stacks or restacks bags or on pallets as required.
• Operates forklift and ore truck.
• Dump grit hoppers for perlite operators as needed.
• General plant cleanup, including but not limited to, washing down of structures and grounds, sweeping with push broom, vacuuming warehouse floors, and cleaning
• hoppers.
  
• Lock-Out/Tag-out/Test-out procedures
• Confined Space procedures

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• HS Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively (written and verbal)
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to work a flexible work schedule
• Ability to follow instructions
• Good attendance history
• Experience in manufacturing or mining, preferred
