Responsibilities
- Design and implement a dynamic calendar of virtual events, such as webinars, hackathons, and panel discussions
- Oversee event logistics, including speaker coordination, platform setup, registration, and post-event analysis
- Manage vendor contracts and requirements
- Use data and analytics to measure event performance and drive improvements
- Build and nurture an online community through social media, forums, and digital channels
- Collaborate with stakeholders to source and curate relevant, high-quality content
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in event management, marketing, or communications (preferably in tech)
- Proven expertise in virtual event planning and community management, with a track record of delivering engaging online experiences
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for building relationships and driving collaboration
- Proficiency in virtual event platforms and social media/community management tools
- Data-driven mindset to assess and enhance engagement
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate proactive problem-solving
- A nice-to-have skill is a familiarity with the data science field and the specific needs of its professionals
