Come join our dynamic team at the Endoscopic Procedure Center, in Camillus, NY. The Endoscopic Technician is a lead role that supports our providers during our endoscopic procedures. This individual is responsible for an array of clinical, technical and interpersonal skills that support the patient flow that sets to achieve the best outcomes.
Under the care and support of our new leadership team, this individual will be accountable to assist with the care of all patients admitted and discharged in the endoscopy unit. This individual will be able to prepare patients for endoscopy and the performance of endoscopic procedures while maintaining endoscopy equipment and supplies.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, but are not limited to:
Under the care and support of our new leadership team, this individual will be accountable to assist with the care of all patients admitted and discharged in the endoscopy unit. This individual will be able to prepare patients for endoscopy and the performance of endoscopic procedures while maintaining endoscopy equipment and supplies.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, but are not limited to:
- Assisting with the delivery of direct nursing care to patients under the supervision of a registered nurse.
- Assisting with the admission and discharge of patients in the endoscopy unit.
- Assisting in verifying patient's name, companion and type of procedure.
- Takes and records vital signs
- Assist with placing blood pressure cuff, sensor for the pulse oximetry, ECG leads, and nasal cannula.
- Documents on all forms as required.
- Assisting with the endoscopic procedures under supervision of a physician.
- Assisting with the position of patient during procedures.
- Assisting with the collection of specimens during procedure.
- Assisting in giving abdominal pressure as directed.
- Assisting in advancing and withdrawing scope as directed.
- Demonstrates a cooperative nature with physicians and nurses while responding to the needs and request of patients.
Education and Experience:
Minimum Education Requirement: High School Diploma or equivalent.

Required Knowledge and Skill:
Good clinical skills, flexibility and basic computer skills.
Compensation: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
