What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical Engineer (MEP) position at EPC STAFF?
EPC STAFF is the Top Engineering and Construction Recruitment Firm in the United States.
We are working with several Architects and MEP Consulting Firms in the New York City area seeking Electrical Designers, Engineers and Project Managers.
We have openings for candidates with various levels of experience designing Power, Lighting, Fire Alarm and/or Low Voltage Systems.
Typical projects include healthcare, mission critical, science / technology, educational, government / federal, retail / hospitality and commercial / mixed-use residential.
The ideal candidate will have the following attributes:
- Competency in a wide array of design functions including: equipment selection; system sizing; load calculations; product specifications; design layouts for electrical systems
- Proficiency in preparing electrical design calculations, develop drawings, formulate technical specifications and create technical reports for review and submission
- Able to conduct field audits, survey existing conditions and recording information about building components, including lighting, switchgear, motors and other electrical equipment
- Demonstrate the ability to research and apply building code, energy, regulatory and industry code requirements
Key skills and abilities needed for the positions are:
- Skill in the use of AutoCAD, REVIT, SKM, AGI32 and Bluebeam;
- Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups.
Education and experience requirements are:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering;
- EIT / PE license a plus
Salary : $70,000 - $170,000
