Warehouse Materials Coordinator
Job Summary:
The Warehouse Materials Coordinator is responsible for supporting warehouse operations, ensuring efficient inventory storage, space utilization, and material handling. This role involves operating equipment, managing shipping and receiving activities, maintaining inventory accuracy, and collaborating with internal teams to optimize order fulfillment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks.
- Support shipping and receiving functions by verifying vendor shipments against purchase orders, identifying discrepancies, and updating SAP records.
- Monitor stock levels and provide reports on obsolete materials or necessary adjustments to minimum/maximum levels.
- Inform the Warehouse Foreman of storage capacity concerns and propose solutions to mitigate space limitations.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures, operational policies, and company standards.
- Conduct periodic physical inventory counts and verify catalog numbers, descriptions, quantities, and locations.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain, Operations, and Project teams to optimize inventory management and order fulfillment.
- Work with logistics teams and suppliers to schedule pickups, deliveries, and routing.
- Implement and maintain inventory procedures, controls, and performance metrics for warehouse operations.
Qualifications:
- Forklift Certification
- Experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, or material coordination.
- Proficiency in operating warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.).
- Knowledge of SAP or similar inventory management systems.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Understanding of safety protocols and compliance standards in warehouse environments.
