We’re seeking a detail-oriented Drafting Coordinator to join a leading energy infrastructure team in Houston, TX. This role will operate on a hybrid schedule (on-site Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday) and play a critical part in supporting internal design efforts and managing drawing packages across multiple projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AutoCAD and document control, and be comfortable navigating a high-volume, fast-paced environment where collaboration and coordination are key.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AutoCAD and document control, and be comfortable navigating a high-volume, fast-paced environment where collaboration and coordination are key.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary liaison for drafting deliverables between internal teams and third-party providers.
- Oversee the full lifecycle of project drawings—from initiation through construction and final as-builts.
- Coordinate drawing access, ensuring controlled check-in/check-out processes and managing concurrent use across projects.
- Perform quality reviews (QA/QC) on internal and external drawing submissions to ensure accuracy and compliance with company drafting standards.
- Provide technical guidance to third-party vendors and internal team members on drafting expectations and standards.
- Track and prioritize drawing workflows to align with project milestones and schedules.
- Collaborate with engineers and designers to confirm drawing content reflects project intent.
- Assist with drawing compilation for cathodic protection, mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systems when needed.
- Manage multiple drawing requests from different stakeholders with strong time management and communication.
- Proficient in AutoCAD; experience with CADWorx and Hexagon tools is a plus.
- Experience in document coordination and document management systems is required.
- Strong knowledge of drafting techniques, industry standards, and both 2D and 3D design technologies.
- Prior experience reviewing third-party drawing packages is highly preferred.
- Oil & Gas industry background is a strong plus but not required.
- Experience with cathodic protection design is a significant advantage.
- Understanding of mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical system drawings.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
