We are seeking a skilled Water Operator I, II, or III to join our team in Fountain Hills, AZ. This individual will be responsible for performing plant operations duties, including checking, troubleshooting, and improving water production facilities, process control, maintaining equipment, chemical handling, and system sampling and lab work to ensure treated water meets County, State, and EPA quality standards.

We are seeking a skilled Water Operator I, II, or III to join our team in Fountain Hills, AZ. This individual will be responsible for performing plant operations duties, including checking, troubleshooting, and improving water production facilities, process control, maintaining equipment, chemical handling, and system sampling and lab work to ensure treated water meets County, State, and EPA quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive job assignments through work orders and verbal instructions from Operations Foreman or Operations Supervisor
- Participate in hands-on work, prioritize assignments, and decide what equipment and materials are needed to accomplish them
- Must be able to read and interpret water facility plans and lab data
Requirements:
- Must have some working knowledge or interest in learning about all of the various aspects of surface water treatment operations
- Ability to perform accurate arithmetic computations, process control, and laboratory procedures
- Familiarity with drinking water rules and regulations
- Ability to read and interpret meters, charts, gauges, and recording devices
Certifications:
- Operator I: Must have at least 1 year of experience in the operation of water treatment facilities and ADEQ Grade 1 Water Treatment certifications
- Operator II: Must have at least 2 years of experience in the operation of water treatment facilities and ADEQ Grade 2 Water Treatment certifications
- Operator III: Must have at least 3 years of experience in the operation of water treatment facilities and ADEQ Grade 3 Water Treatment certifications
