Job Overview:
We are looking for a Customer Service Representative to join our Customer Service team. The Customer Service Representative will manage and coordinate all activities and interactions related to the assigned customers to ensure smooth operations and high levels of customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a truckload/transportation environment.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in customer service.
- Good data entry skills.
- Ability to plan and organize workload.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet work deadlines.
- Must have great written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Handle load tenders through various channels, and gather necessary details for purchase orders, trailer needs, and appointments.
- Oversee high-profile loads, update customers on progress, and handle service failures or delays, including rescheduling as needed.
- Obtain and manage freight from customers, ensure alignment with equipment availability, and coordinate load times with Epes' system.
- Address customer concerns, potential retention issues, and operational problems, while working to strengthen customer relationships and identify new business opportunities.
- Provide support to accounts receivable, track service levels and revenue, and assist in developing corrective action plans when necessary.
