Job Description
Certified pharmacy technician assists in processing of prescription orders under the supervision of a pharmacist. The certified pharmacy technician assists with computer order entry, billing, and customer transactions. The certified pharmacy technician communicates with provider offices, insurance companies and patients to facilitate refills, prior authorizations and orders. Knowledge of prescription and OTC drugs, pharmacy customer experience and prescription insurance is preferred. Will consider non-certified pharmacy technicians if the candidate will pursue certification within 6 months of hire.
