Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:
Position works 3-11:30pm and must work every other weekend. This position performs a wide range of housekeeping tasks and projects associated with the cleaning, disinfecting and general upkeep of the physical environment of the assigned facility. Tasks include: sweeping, mopping, dusting, stripping, applying finish, sealing various floor types, spot cleaning and extracting carpet, trash removal and other projects. Responsible for keeping assigned environment dust-free, clean and disinfected. Operation of heavy equipment such as rotary buffers, automatic floor scrubbers, floor burnishers, carpet extractors and other pieces of equipment required.
Also is responsible for record keeping activities to include cleaning tasks performed and the requisitioning and delivering of supplies. Position must maintain equipment in good working order. This position operates independently due to assigned location and hours of operation for performing tasks and is accountable for own time. Position reports operational issues promptly to management for corrections, advice or assistance. Must exhibits the F.I.R.S.T. values (Friendliness, Innovation, Respect, Service, and Trust).
EQUIPMENT USED/SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
Floor scrubbers, floor burnishers, both regular and wet vacuums, C3 machines, and carpet extractors routinely used. Candidate must be knowledgeable in the use of all cleaning products and personal protective equipment. A moderate amount of record keeping is involved and the transporting of requisitioned supplies is required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS OR EQUIVALENTS
Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred. Must be able to read and write as well as follow verbal and written directions.
Experience: Prior floor care experience preferred. Knowledge of floor care equipment preferred.
