• Job Summary
  • Under the general supervision of the BHS Director, provides clinical social work services for patients and their families and coordinates care with patients, families, and the health care team. Exhibits the F.I.R.S.T. values (Friendliness, Innovation, Respect, Service, and Trust).
• Working Conditions, Hazards and Physical Effort
  • Works standard work week, Monday through Friday, but may have to adjust schedule to meet deadlines or in case of emergencies. Works in an office environment. A high degree of independent judgment and initiative are required. The task of this job does not involve exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissue. Moderate amount of stress in working with patients and families.
• Minimum Qualifications or Equivalents
  • Education: Masters degree from an accredited school of social work.
  • Experience: Two years experience as social worker and/or discharge planner in psychiatric clinical setting.
  • EQUIPMENT USED/SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED: Computer skills are required. Utilizes communication skills with a high degree of effectiveness in working with patients, families, physicians, hospital personnel and referral agencies. Possesses skills necessary to plan and coordinate a social service program and to work effectively with other disciplines. Should possess knowledge of community, social, health and welfare programs.
• Licenses, Certifications, and/or Registrations
  • Kentucky Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (CPI) within 3 months of hire. CPI Annually.
