Co Responder Master Level Clinician - This is a ride along position with a St John's deputy. The clinician will respond to calls to the sheriff's office and work along side a deputy to help de-escalate, assess safety and perform triage assessments.

EPIC is currently seeking a team of professionals to implement a Co Responder Team in St. Johns County, FL. These teams utilize the combined expertise of the officer and the behavioral health specialist to de-escalate situations and help link individuals with behavioral health issues to appropriate services. The Team will provide high quality de-escalation, behavioral health screening and assessment, call disposition planning and referral or linkage to needed services. The planning at the end of the encounter depends on numerous factors, and outcomes can range from leaving the individual with necessary resources, transporting the individual to the hospital or walk-in clinic, and providing support and resources for family members and other on scene.

The Masters Level Clinician will engage client, complete a safety risk assessment and a safety plan if client endorses suicidal ideations without a plan or access to means. Clinician will utilize field assessment screens and document all clinical information in the EHR system

.The Master's Level Clinician will provide crisis de-escalation, outreach engagement, screening, and referral services to participants identified by the St. Johns County Sheriff’s office who have had an overdose reversal, significant substance use, co-occurring disorders or recidivism.

The Master Level Clinician provides information and referral services to family members and significant others of program consumers, as well as other collateral contacts. This position will also provide supportive services to assist in linkage to benefits, housing resources or other identified barriers.

The Master Level Clinician will assist in advocating for the individual within the community and while establishing needed services. This role is defined as an essential healthcare job by the state of Florida and the Department of Homeland Security.

Clients may be counseled via phone, video conferencing or in person. Key performance indicators are as follows:

Maintain 65% productivity standard which will reflect 6 hours of client contact or billable service on behalf of clients per day. Initial meeting will be held within 48 hours of referral and Care Coordination screenings completed within 5 days of initial referral. A Care Coordination Plan will be completed from the screening with individual involvement. Follow up meetings of at least one phone call and one face to face meeting every week through 90 days. Discharge summary and enrollment closure within 10 days of program completion/discharge. For individuals not willing to engage, outreach follow up contacts to build engagement will continue weekly for 30 days.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • · A Master’s in Psychology, Social Work, or some other relevant discipline.
  • · Two years of behavioral health experience.
  • -Experience in linking clients to community resources.
  • -Experience with de-escalation and Crisis Situations
  • · Valid driver’s license.
  • · Level 2 background check required.

· Drug testing and professional references required.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year (based on experience)
