Essential Job Functions:
- Implements and coordinates the Evidence Based Curriculum for target populations including youth at risk or juvenile justice involved, at risk pregnancy, and parents.
- Develops referrals relationships within the community including to engage prevention activities at the individual, group and community levels (schools, EPIC programs, community partners, business partners, faith-based organizations, civic groups, parent groups, human service organizations, etc.)
- Attends community coalitions including but not limited to PACT, Child Welfare Integrated, Behavioral Health Consortium).
- Designs education and prevention workshops and training for adult and youth audiences.
- Assists the Marketing Coordinator to develop and implement strategies for marketing the Community Education and Parenting Programs to businesses, schools, churches, organizations, and the community at large.
- Design and distribute related program information to target populations through speaking engagements, literature, training and seminars, media releases, website, newsletter, and the agency’s resource library.
- Provides referral to individuals seeking information to assist children and families. Coordinates client care with other professionals as needed.
- Provides excellent customer service to include ensuring that clients believe they come first, are greeted, and taken into session within 5 minutes of their appointment time, are linking clients to other community supports, and are addressing confidentiality concerns.
- Participates in weekly case/peer review and program meetings, monthly staff meetings, and all other meetings as designated by supervisor.
- Assists with and participates in community agency events.
- Maintains on-going compliance with prevention education funding contracts and state and federal laws and procedures.
- Represents EPIC at various community meetings, health fairs, school and other community events to educate community stakeholders on EPIC system of care.
- Coordinates client referrals for mental health, treatment, and other community services or programs as requested.
- Prepares, maintains, and updates all parts of clients’ charts weekly per services delivered and received, as stated in the agency’s manual of program policies and procedures.
Must Have a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Education or some other relevant Human Services discipline.
A minimum of two or more (2) years experience working with children and youth in a behavioral health, education, or another youth serving organization.
