Position Overview: We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Operations Director to lead our department managers. Senior management will routinely provide tasks, guidance, and responsibilities to the Operations Director. It will be the candidate's role to ensure these directives are standardized and effectively rolled out across all functional departments. This critical role focuses on overseeing managers of each functional department, ensuring adherence to established processes, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a disciplined approach to follow-up and follow-through, leveraging data to improve outcomes and reporting results to senior management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Oversight:
- Take a hands-on approach to management by actively engaging with department managers to understand their challenges and provide practical support on a regular basis.
- Manage and mentor department managers, providing consistent guidance and holding them accountable for their teams’ performance.
- Be a steady and strategic force, ensuring the team remains focused on long-term goals and is not derailed by daily operational challenges.
- Establish and maintain a culture of teamwork, support, accomplishment and consistency for the mutual benefit of the entire organization.
- Process Adherence & Improvement:
- Ensure strict adherence to established processes and standard operating procedures (SOPs) across all functional departments
- Routinely meet to review and discuss performance, adherence to policies and procedures, and action items.
- Use process outcomes to identify areas for improvement and develop targeted training programs to address gaps.
- Implement processes and improvement measures as directed by senior management.
- Data-Driven Decision Making:
- Track and analyze key performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of departmental processes.
- Provide detailed reports to senior management, presenting results, trends, and actionable insights for further guidance.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement by identifying inefficiencies and implementing solutions that enhance operational efficiency across departments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows and improve productivity.
- Communication & Reporting:
- Serve as the key liaison between department managers and senior management, ensuring transparent, timely communication and reporting.
- Deliver concise and data-driven updates regularly on operational outcomes, highlighting successes and addressing challenges proactively.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in operations management or a similar leadership role.
- Strong understanding of departmental processes, systems, and data analysis.
- Exceptional organizational skills with a track record of follow-up and follow-through.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams strategically while managing competing priorities.
- “Can-do” attitude with a drive to find solutions to challenges.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in unattended retail and/or foodservice is a plus.

Compensation Range: $65-80K/year DOE, Performance Based Bonus Opportunity
Work Arrangement: M-F, 8:00-5:00 in office.
