EPIC Early Learning is currently hiring for the position of Custodial Services Supervisor. As a private, nonprofit organization, EPIC has been serving the Central Washington community for over 45 years by providing high-quality early childhood educational services. This Custodial Services Supervisor coordinates work processes with upper management to ensure the effective daily and ongoing cleaning, sanitation, maintenance, grounds keeping, and janitorial service to the ECEAP centers in accordance with established health and safety standards; ensuring that the work complies in accordance with ECEAP performance standards, state licensing requirements and agency policies and procedures. Will be required to be on-call to address delays, emergencies, bad weather, and other issues.
Responsibilities- Clean and sanitize classrooms, offices, restrooms, and common areas
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors
- Dust furniture, fixtures, and surfaces
- Empty trash cans and replace liners
- Restock supplies in restrooms and other areas
- Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks
- Report any safety or maintenance issues
- Assist with set up and clean up for special events or activities
- Be committed to characterizing a culture of safety within our centers, playgrounds, buses and anywhere that children may be present. Be familiar with and encourage EPICs culture of “See Something, Say Something”.
- Associates degree in related field, OR, combination of education and/or relevant work experience.
- Two years of previous custodial experience, with knowledge of sprinkler systems; minor repairs; appropriate use of cleaning chemicals, and proper health and safety practices.
- Ability to physically operate floor stripper, buffer & carpet shampooer
- Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Possesses a valid driver’s license and has reliable transportation and required auto insurance.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems is a plus
Pay Level:
$20.00 per hour DOE (10-Months)
