The Early Head Start Teacher will be responsible for creating a warm, safe, and enriching learning environment for infants and toddlers. In this role, you will implement developmentally appropriate activities that foster the physical, emotional, cognitive, and social development of children. You will also play a crucial role in collaborating with families to support their child's growth and learning journey.

Responsibilities- Develop and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans and daily routines for infants and toddlers that foster holistic development
- Create a nurturing, safe, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning
- Build strong, trusting relationships with children, families, and staff
- Conduct regular observations of children's development and document their progress in accordance with program requirements
- Facilitate parent engagement through regular communication, conferences, and family events
- Collaborate with other teaching staff, Family Advocates, and support personnel to meet the diverse needs of children and families
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment that meets health and safety standards
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in early childhood education
- Be committed to characterizing a culture of safety within our centers, playgrounds, buses, and anywhere that children may be present. Be familiar with and encourage EPIC's culture of "See Something, Say Something".
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field
- Childcare Basics 30 hours STARS training
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with infants and toddlers in a licensed childcare or early education setting
- Strong knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with children, families, and colleagues
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute to a positive work environment
- Passionate about providing high-quality education and support to young children and their families
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant educational technology
Pay Level: $21.62 to $25.51 per Hour (Year-round position)
