What are the responsibilities and job description for the Preschool Lead Teacher (Migrant Seasonal Head Start) position at EPIC Early Learning?
EPIC Early Learning is looking for a passionate and skilled Preschool Lead Teacher for our Migrant Seasonal Head Start program. In the role of a Preschool Lead Teacher, you will design and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum that caters to the unique needs of children aged 3 to 5, with a particular focus on children from migrant and seasonal agricultural families. You will create a stimulating and safe classroom environment while fostering a love for learning and supporting each child's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
Collaboration with families and community partners is vital, as we strive to build strong relationships and ensure a holistic support system for our students. Your work will play a significant role in preparing children for future educational success and promoting their overall well-being.
1. Must be at least 18 years of age
2. Associate of Arts in Early Childhood Education or Development, or in a related field.*
3. Minimum of 2 years of experience as a lead teacher in a preschool or early childhood setting.
4. Understanding of developmentally appropriate practices and early childhood education principles.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children and their families.
6. Capability to work collaboratively within a diverse team environment.
7. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
8. Valid Washington State Driver's License and auto insurance.
*Candidates who do not meet the minimum education requirement must hold a current Preschool Child Development Associate (CDA) or State Initial certificate, enroll in a higher education institution towards an AA in ECE, commit to a Professional Development Plan with a confirmed deadline, and additionally be on an approved waiver by the Office of Head Start.

Pay Level: $23.23 to $28.06 Hourly
Note: This position is for the 2025 MSHS program beginning on April 17, 2025.
