We are looking for people with strong communication skills who can support and encourage people to be successful in their jobs. The Employment Consultant position is mostly performed at various work sites within the community. We currently have full-time positions to fill with flexible hours that will split their time supporting individuals at their jobs and completing the 245 D paperwork.
Responsibilities:
· The Employment Consultant will support individuals in learning specific job tasks, assessing their progress, and developing goals and techniques to maximize independence.
· This position is independent and requires effective problem solving, communication, initiative and relationship building with individuals and employers.
· Facilitate the development of individuals’ natural support at work.
· Create and update records and reports on progress.
· Provide transportation services as needed. Epic will provide the vehicle.
· The position includes completing 245D paperwork, attending individuals’ meetings and becoming a valued member of their team.
Requirements:
- The ability and flexibility to work collaboratively with a team.
- Organizational and time management skills.
- Good customer service skills.
- Comply with and pass Department of Human Services (DHS) background check which may include fingerprinting.
- Have a valid driver’s license.
- Pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) background check.
- Position may include evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- GED or high school diploma required, BA or BS preferred to meet Designated Coordinator status
Starting wage: $17 - $18 per hour.
Benefits: Full-time (30 hours per week) flexible schedule, benefit package includes medical (employee contribution), dental, 401(k), Personal Time Off with potential to earn up to 3 weeks a year, Short Term Disability, voluntary insurances at employee cost and 8 holidays.
