About the available position:
EPIC - Every Person Influences Children is seeking a full-time/temporary (40 hrs/wk) Family Engagement Support Specialist. This human services position will be responsible for temporarily assisting the Director of Family Services with the appropriate implementation of non-mandated parenting, family engagement, and professional development contracts in partnership with the Salamanca City Central School District. The position will act as a family liaison to the school district, support district initiatives, develop a network of resources, and report on goals and outcomes.
EPIC is looking for candidates to:
- Schedule workshops and training according to contract requirements, including identifying locations and dates for workshops or training.
- Facilitate Parenting, Family Engagement, and professional development workshops.
- Assist with reporting requirements, data entry, evaluation forms, and contract requirements.
- Complete appropriate paperwork for attendance and utilize Salesforce for appropriate record keeping.
- Support SCCSD Family Support Workers and school district staff with professional development as it relates to family engagement.
- Network, and build and maintain relationships with families, school staff, and the community.
Candidates are required to have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field and two (2) years of relevant experience or a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in human services, training, or education.
- Computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
- Salesforce experience preferred.
- Experience training or facilitating workshops
- Reliable transportation

Position Summary:

The position will act as a family liaison to the school district, support district initiatives, develop a network of resources, and report on goals and outcomes.
Essential Functions:
- Schedule workshops and training according to contract requirements, including identifying locations and dates for workshops or training.Facilitate Parenting, Family Engagement, and professional development workshops. Design and implement programming appropriate for children, youth, and their families.Assist with reporting requirements, data entry, evaluation forms, and contract requirements.Complete appropriate paperwork for attendance and utilize Salesforce for appropriate record keeping.
- Support SCCSD Family Support Workers and school district staff with professional development as it relates to family engagement.
- Network, and build and maintain relationships with families, school staff, and the community.
- Understand and accomplish goals shared by the SCCSD.
- Communicate with supervisor to maintain safety of participants, facilitators, and staff.
- Respond to external inquiries about EPIC’s services as directed.
- Internal/external trainings as required (including Mandated Reporter Training)
- Other duties as assigned by management.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
The work schedule for the position is generally Monday-Friday weekdays, with some evenings and occasional weekends. Office located within the SSCSD administrative building. Travel to Buffalo for onboarding and occasional staff meetings.
