About the available position:

EPIC - Every Person Influences Children is seeking a full-time (40 hours) Professional Development Manager for their Buffalo headquarters. This human services position is responsible for responsible for developing and maintaining EPICs professional development and specialized training offerings both internally and externally. This will include supporting and advancing EPIC’s Assessment & Planning in Education and Family Engagement Consultation models. The PD Manager will ensure the learning objectives required by contracted governmental, educational and private funders are completed by EPIC staff and program participants. The PD Manager will be responsible for the recruitment and hiring of EPIC Facilitators, coordinating 3rd party or internal training, assigning sessions and evaluating performance.

EPIC is looking for candidates who have:

  • Analyze program and training outcomes and be responsible for making informed decisions about curriculum updates or adjustments.
  • Manage, oversee, and implement internal and external professional development and program trainings.
  • Develop and update internal and external professional development implementation plans, procedures, and policies.
  • Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and manage facilitators.
  • Create and manage master schedule for all internal professional development trainings.
  • Implement and assist in revenue generation for Assessment & Planning in Education model.
  • Design Family Engagement Consultation contracts and implement as needed.

Candidates are required to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in education or related field and a minimum of 5 (five) years’ relevant experience in a non-profit environment.
  • Management experience.
  • Training development and delivery experience.
  • Experience working with educational institutions and families.
  • Computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
  • Grant management experience preferred.
  • Computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Database experience, Salesforce experience preferred (will train).

Job Type: Full-time, hourly, non-exempt

Schedule: Mainly weekdays, including evenings

Location: EPIC Headquarters, this position requires occasional and/or consistent travel, particularly to other WNY Counties– reliable transportation required. Potential infrequent travel to other areas of NY State and beyond, possibly by air.

Salary Range: $48,000-$55,000, paid hourly

Job Title: Professional Development Manager

Position Summary:

The Professional Development (PD) Manager will be responsible for developing and maintaining EPIC's professional development and specialized training offerings both internally and externally. This will include supporting and advancing EPIC’s Assessment & Planning in Education and Family Engagement Consultation models. Essential Functions:

  • Analyze program and training outcomes and be responsible for making informed decisions about curriculum updates or adjustments.
  • Manage, oversee, and implement internal and external professional development and program trainings.
  • Develop and update internal and external professional development implementation plans, procedures, and policies.
  • Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and manage facilitators.
  • Create and manage master schedule for all internal professional development trainings.
  • Implement and assist in revenue generation for Assessment & Planning in Education model.
  • Design Family Engagement Consultation contracts and implement as needed.
  • Understand, interpret, explain and apply regulations, laws and directives pertaining to family engagement and professional development programs, particularly from the NYS Education Department (NYSED).
  • Manage and develop relationships with partners and collaborators as it relates to Professional Development including participation in community committees, area professional coalitions, build relationships with NYS Family Engagement Centers and Programs, other groups as appropriate.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with EPIC staff, especially, contracted agencies, educational entities, and other funders/customers.
  • Evaluate professional development and assessment and recommend necessary revisions to improve efficiencies and outcomes for participants.
  • Utilize Salesforce CRM, and/or other tools as necessary, for all program related record keeping and data entry. Registration, attendance, program management, evaluation, reporting, and dashboard development to provide metrics for outcome reporting to funders.
  • Review and update process and procedures for data entry with Data Manager. Confirm data is entered in the allocated time according to program regulations.
  • Coordinate and manage workshop scheduling, facilitator assignments, program training compliance, and outcome reports.
  • Prepare and present clear and concise oral and written program reports for CPO to report to Board of Directors and Program Committee.
  • Other Duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
