About the available position:
EPIC - Every Person Influences Children is seeking a full-time (40 hours) Program Coordinator (Parenting & Family Engagement) for their Buffalo headquarters. This human services position is responsible for assisting the agency with the appropriate implementation of parenting, family engagement, youth services and professional development contracts as required. This position will coordinate and/or facilitate EPIC’s car seat safety program including obtaining Child Passenger Safety certification, Strong African American (SAAF) program, Storytime East Buffalo, Just for Teens program and other programming as required. This may include scheduling services, coordinating services, facilitating workshops, outreach to special populations of parents, writing reports, maintaining accurate records and statistics, monitoring grant budget lines, meeting funder objectives and outcomes, networking in the community and attending meetings as assigned by Director of Parenting and Director of Family Services.
EPIC is looking for candidates to:
- Work with both the Director of Parenting and Director of Family Services along with Program Staff to assign participants to appropriate EPIC programming.
- Be trained in various EPIC programs whose participants include children, teens, and families; recruiting participants for programs.
- Schedule workshops and training according to contract requirements, including identifying locations and dates for delivery.
- Execute programming in the community, followed by tracking for reporting, data entry, evaluation forms, and other contract requirements.
- Schedule facilitators and car seat technicians for programming as needed.
- Manage the inventory and materials necessary to deliver each program.
- Be able to communicate clearly and confidently in front of groups
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, families, and community partners.
- Conduct regular assessments to evaluate program effectiveness and make necessary adjustments.
Candidates are required to have:
- Associate’s in a relevant field and 1 (one) year of relevant experience or minimum of 3 (three) years’ relevant experience.
- Highly developed organizational skills and the ability to pivot to manage competing priorities.
- Computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
- Database experience, Salesforce preferred (will train).
- Reliable transportation is required
Summary:
Job Type: Full-time, hourly, non-exempt
Schedule: Mainly weekdays in the Buffalo office, with some evenings, and occasional weekends to attend events
Location: Buffalo, NY- EPIC Headquarters
Salary Range: $45,000 - $48,000, paid hourly
