Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Field Superintendent to oversee fire sprinkler construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, strong communication skills and a comprehensive understanding of construction management processes. This role requires effective communication with various stakeholders, including contractors, clients, and team members, to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Duties
- Manage daily operations on the construction site, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Oversee project budgets, including tracking expenses and managing resources effectively.
- Read and interpret blueprints and construction plans to ensure accurate implementation of project specifications.
- Use different city/municipalities customer portals online.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, address issues, and maintain quality control.
- Implement effective communication strategies among team members to foster collaboration and resolve conflicts.
- Maintain detailed records of project activities, including contracts, change orders, and correspondence.
Qualifications
- 10 years of proven experience in a supervisory role within the construction/fire sprinkler industry, preferably as a Field Superintendent.
- Strong knowledge of construction/fire sprinkler estimating practices and familiarity with budgeting processes.
- Proficiency in using Excel and Microsoft Outlook and various city websites and portal programs
- Ability to read blueprints and understand technical drawings related to fire sprinkler projects.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong leadership qualities with excellent communication skills to effectively manage teams on-site.
- A commitment to safety standards and best practices in the construction environment.
- Bilingual (Fluent in English and Spanish)
- High School Diploma (Or GED)
- Bachelor's Degree (Preferred but not required)
