Registered Nurse (RN) - Nursing Home Job Overview:
- Large Nursing Home striving to meet or exceed the personal and clinical needs of the residents to achieve their potential for self-determination and independent living in a safe and hazard free environment.
- Performs acts requiring substantial specialized knowledge, judgement, and nursing skill based upon the principles of psychological, biological, physical, and social sciences.
- Utilizing nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation in the provision of patient care
- Provide care, counsel, and health teaching to the ill, injured,or infirmed
- Promote health maintenance and prevention of illness
- Perform medical treatment and administer medications as prescribed, intervenes when emergency care is required.
- Supervise, teach, and delegate nursing care activities
- Serve as a member of patients' treatment teams
- Assist medical and other professionals in the provision of care
- Perform nursing assessments on new admissions
- Document essential entries
- Check lab work orders and specimens prior to submission
- Conduct and attend training
- Explain plan of care to patients and families
- Schedule patient's treatments in other units/facilities
- Follow established policies and procedures
Registered Nurse (RN) - Nursing Home Job Qualifications:
- RN Licensure: active, current, unrestricted. KY or Compact.
