Job description
EPIC Health Partners is seeking a qualified, compassionate, and motivated Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC), Certified Substance Abuse Counselor-Eligible (CSAC-E), Licensed Mental Health Professional (LMHP), or LMHP-Eligible (LMHP-E) to join our team as a part-time group facilitator for a substance use treatment program within a residential facility on weekends. The ideal candidate will possess experience working with individuals diagnosed with substance use disorders and demonstrate a thorough understanding of DBHDS (Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services) guidelines and best practices. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, a commitment to client care, and the ability to facilitate group therapy sessions effectively. This position is located in Chatham, VA.
Job Duties:
- Facilitate psychoeducational and therapeutic groups for individuals with substance use disorders within a residential treatment setting.
- Implement a group curriculum that is provided to you that aligns with evidence-based practices Provide support and guidance to clients as they work toward recovery goals, fostering a safe and respectful environment.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Monitor and evaluate group dynamics to ensure that all participants feel included and supported.
- Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and always adhere to ethical and legal standards.
- Other job duties as needed
Qualifications:
- A Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC), CSAC-E, LMHP, or LMHP-E in Virginia is required.
- Experience working with individuals with substance use disorders in a therapeutic setting.
- Knowledge of evidence-based treatment modalities, including cognitive behavioral
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Commitment to providing high-quality, client-centered care.
- Ability to maintain appropriate professional boundaries while offering empathy and support to clients.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA):
- Knowledge of various substance use disorders (SUDs), including alcohol, prescription drugs, and illicit substances, and their impact on physical and mental health.
- Understanding relapse prevention strategies and the ability to apply them in individual and group settings.
- Knowledge of Ethical and Legal Standards in Substance Abuse Counseling and the ability to apply it
- The skill set of understanding of confidentiality laws, including HIPAA regulations and 42 CFR Part
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries
- Ability to facilitate group therapy and promote client engagement
- Capacity to maintain detailed, accurate client records and progress notes that comply with program requirements and regulatory standards.
- Strong Communication and Documentation Skills
Schedule:
- Part-time weekend
Compensation (Based on Credentials):

- o $225.00 set rate for 6 hours on Saturdays – On-Site
- o $100.00 set for 90 minutes on Sundays - Virtual
LMHP/LMHP-E:
- o $300.00 set rate for 6 hours on Saturdays – On-Site
- o $175.00 set rate for 90 minutes on Sundays - Virtual
