Salary : Job Summary :
Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) provide care and support to individuals recovering from substance use disorders. The role involves assisting with daily living activities, monitoring program compliance, supporting recovery goals, ensuring a safe and structured environment, and promoting healthy behaviors. DSPs work closely with individuals to foster independence and help them achieve personal recovery goals while adhering to the guidelines of the program.
Staff members must be available to work Holidays if they coincide with their scheduled shifts. This ensures continuous care and support for individuals in the residential program.
Site Location : Chatham, VA
Responsibilities :
- Provide direct care and support to individuals
- Assist with daily living activities
- Ensure that medications are administered
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors
- Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals at all times
- Assist with meal planning and preparation
- Support individuals in participating in recreational activities and community outings
- Document and report any changes in behavior or health status to appropriate personnel
- Complete other duties as assigned
