Position Summary:
The Residential Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a residential substance use treatment program. This role involves ensuring the effective and efficient management of services, including staffing, scheduling, compliance, and safety. The manager will supervise a dedicated team of professionals, ensuring that all operations align with regulatory standards while maintaining the highest quality of care for clients. This position requires strong leadership, collaboration, and a commitment to enhancing the client recovery experience in a safe and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Ø Oversee all operational functions of Residential Facility
Ø Conduct full Intakes for admission
Ø Maintain inventory of supplies and order replacements as needed
Ø Ensure all household systems (e.g., HVAC, plumbing, security) are functioning properly
Ø Conduct regular property inspections to ensure high standards of functionality and aesthetics.
Ø Handle employee concerns and ensure a productive working environment.
Ø Develop and maintain emergency preparedness plans for fire, medical, or natural disasters and train staff accordingly.
Ø Ensure the checklists is being complete detailing standard operating procedures and emergency instructions.
Ø Provide direct supervision to enrolled individuals
Ø Provide direct crisis intervention and de-escalation services to individuals
Ø Assist with transportation to external appointments
Ø Monitor group sessions
Ø Complete all required documentation
Ø Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings as needed
Ø Create work schedules for Direct Support Professionals
Ø Create chore lists, and meal preparation menus on a weekly basis.
Ø Assist with training for Direct Support Professionals
Ø Ensure 24-hour shift coverage
Ø On-call responsibilities
Ø Ensures that the program is adequately staffed and that operations run smoothly, providing continuity of care for clients in the residential program.
Ø Team Scheduling and Shift Coverage:
o Work 12-hour rotating day shift schedule, ensuring full coverage of shifts, including evenings, nights, and weekends.
o Create and ensure a complete and efficient schedule for the residential treatment team every two weeks
o Be prepared to fill in for staff when there are gaps in the schedule, including covering shifts during holidays, emergency situations, or staff absences.
o Monitor staffing to ensure that the team is well-supported and that the residential program always operates efficiently and safely.
o Review and adjust schedules as needed to ensure that all shifts are appropriately covered.
Ø Physical Requirements:
o Ability to perform light physical tasks, such as lifting items, climbing stairs, and standing for extended periods.
Ø Travel:
o May involve occasional travel to pick up or accompany residents
Ø Complete additional duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA):
- Knowledge:
- Extensive knowledge of substance use disorders, treatment approaches, and recovery processes.
- Understanding of regulatory and compliance standards related to substance use treatment (e.g., DBHDS, HIPAA).
- Knowledge of crisis intervention, de-escalation techniques, and trauma-informed care.
- Familiarity with documentation standards in healthcare and behavioral health settings.

- Leadership: Strong leadership skills, including the ability to supervise, motivate, and guide staff effectively.
- Crisis Management: Ability to remain calm and make decisions in high-pressure or crisis situations.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for interacting with staff, clients, families, and external stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:
Ø High School Graduate or equivalent
Ø Operations Management Experience: 5 years, preferred
Ø Working knowledge of behavioral health and substance use disorders preferred
Ø Reliable transportation
Ø Ability to handle confidential matters with discretion
Ø Ability to successfully complete DBHDS Background check and Central Registry check
Ø Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ø Role requires attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
Training:
Ø Must be currently certified in: CPR, First Aid (We can NOT accept BLS), Management of Aggressive Behavior or Behavioral Supports and verification of Tuberculosis screening yearly.
Background Investigation:
Ø Must successfully complete a criminal background records check conducted by the DBHDS criminal background investigation unit.
