Position: Cardiology Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) – Outpatient Cardiology

What You’ll Do
Patient Care & Diagnostics
- Perform comprehensive evaluations, including history-taking, physical exams, and interpretation of diagnostic tests.
- Order and interpret cardiovascular diagnostics such as echocardiograms, Holter monitors, and other non-invasive studies.
- Develop evidence-based management plans for chronic cardiovascular conditions, including hypertension, heart failure, arrhythmias, and coronary artery disease.
Clinical Management
- Collaborate with cardiologists to determine optimal non-interventional treatment strategies.
- Provide ongoing care for patients with complex cardiovascular needs.
- Educate patients and families about disease processes, lifestyle modifications, and treatment plans to promote long-term health.
Collaboration & Education
- Partner with cardiologists, nurses, and a multidisciplinary team to deliver seamless, patient-centered care.
- Participate in case discussions and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
- Empower patients with education and resources to take an active role in managing their health.
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient records in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Ensure adherence to all clinical protocols and regulatory standards.
What You Bring
Education
- Master’s degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
Certification & Licensure
- Certified Physician Assistant ( PA-C ) or Family Nurse Practitioner( FNP ) with active, unrestricted licensure in Michigan.
Experience
- 2 years of direct cardiology experience.
Skills & Competencies
- Proficiency in cardiovascular diagnostics and patient management.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong critical-thinking abilities and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with EMR systems like EPIC or Cerner.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented outpatient environment.
