Position: Medical Scribe (Part-Time)

What You’ll Do
Documentation Support
- Accurately document patient visits, including medical histories, physical exams, treatment plans, and follow-up instructions, in real time.
- Assist with charting by entering patient information into the electronic health record (EHR) under the direction of the provider.
Real-Time Transcription
- Transcribe physician notes and medical orders during patient interactions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
Follow-Up Coordination
- Prepare necessary documentation for follow-up visits, referrals, lab orders, and other patient care needs.
Patient Interaction
- Support providers during patient exams by gathering and documenting clinical data such as vitals and reviewing medical histories.
Clerical Assistance
- Organize patient records, prepare charts, and manage documentation workflows to support the provider’s efficiency.
Compliance and Confidentiality
- Ensure all patient information is handled in compliance with HIPAA regulations, maintaining strict confidentiality and accuracy.
What You Bring
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Medical transcription or medical assistant training preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of prior scribe experience in a clinical setting.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures.
- Proficient typing skills and familiarity with EHR systems.
- Exceptional organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Work Schedule
This is a part-time position, working Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
