What You’ll Do as an EPIC Psychiatrist
This role is about more than diagnoses and prescriptions—it’s about being a partner in every patient’s mental health journey. You’ll work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver personalized care and help patients overcome challenges.
Clinical Assessment
- Conduct in-depth psychiatric evaluations to diagnose mental health conditions accurately.
- Collect detailed medical histories, family backgrounds, and social context for a holistic understanding of each patient’s situation.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to craft a comprehensive view of patient needs.
Treatment Planning
- Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s unique needs.
- Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications as part of an integrative care approach.
- Recommend and deliver therapeutic interventions, including psychotherapy and counseling.
Therapeutic Interventions
- Employ a range of therapeutic techniques to support patients in managing their mental health.

Collaboration and Consultation

Documentation and Record-Keeping
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date medical records, including assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.

- Advocate for mental health needs within EPIC and the broader community.

- Maintain all licensure and certification requirements.
What We’re Looking For
Qualifications
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
- Completion of a psychiatry residency program.
- Board certification in psychiatry with a valid state medical license.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong diagnostic and assessment expertise.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with deep empathy for patients.
