Now Hiring: Activities Assistant (Memory Care)
Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and implementing activity programs for residents in Memory Care
- Engage residents in therapeutic and recreational activities based on their interests and abilities
- Provide one-on-one support and encouragement to residents during activities
- Collaborate with the Activities Director and care team to assess residents' needs and preferences
- Maintain documentation of activity participation and resident progress
- Ensure a safe and supportive environment during activities
- Encourage socialization and meaningful interactions among residents
- Assist with setting up and cleaning activity areas
- Attend training and meetings to enhance skills and knowledge in Memory Care activities
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with seniors, particularly those with memory impairments, is preferred
- Compassionate and patient demeanor with a genuine interest in enhancing residents' quality of life
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Compassion, patience, and a commitment to providing exceptional care.
