Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to join our team. As the DON, you will be responsible for overseeing the nursing department, ensuring the highest quality of care for our residents, and managing a dedicated team of nursing staff. You will collaborate with leadership to develop policies and procedures that enhance patient care and improve operational efficiency.
Director of Nursing (DON) Key Responsibilities:
- Direct and supervise nursing staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality care.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as facility policies and procedures.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans for residents in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
- Monitor and assess the performance of nursing staff, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
- Manage nursing budgets, supplies, and staffing levels.
- Oversee resident assessments and care evaluations.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement in patient care.
- Ensure effective communication between residents, families, and staff.
Director of Nursing (DON) Qualifications:
- Current RN license in Kentucky (or the ability to obtain).
- Proven experience in a nursing leadership role, preferably in a long-term care setting.
