Responsibilities :
Estimates annual maintenance budgetMaintains costs within the budget and quickly communicates issues that might result in a need for additional fundingIdentifies current and future maintenance needs; resource planningMakes sure that the department meets legal and OSHA requirementsApproves and oversees different capital projects (like software / machine purchases and installations or renovation projects)Reviews and approves vendor bids (like those for replacement parts)Helps with the development and implementation of proactive maintenance strategies and maintenance programsProvides regular reports to top managementProvides leadership and guidance to all maintenance personnelMakes sure that the maintenance team is properly staffed (with qualified maintenance staff)Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree or above in Business Management or other related field or equivalent experience and educationMinimum of 2 years of experience in management or supervisory roles would be essentialMinimum of 2 years of experience in maintenance, repair, and / or construction role would be essentialExcellent organizational skills; being able to work under pressureSubstantial experience with development plans and implementation of proceduresExcellent interpersonal skills and able to communicate with persons at all levelsSuperb leadership capabilities with a talent for delegating tasks to the best-suited staff member.The Villas at San Bernardino i s an equal opportunity employer and makes employment decisions on the basis of merit.
