JOB OVERVIEW:
The Claims Associate primarily handles administrative tasks and assisting claims adjusters with day-to-day tasks in claims management, payments, and reimbursements. This role is a great opportunity to get your foot in the door of the insurance industry and grow!
LOCATION: Carmel, IN - In-office 5 days a week
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
A detailed list of job duties includes (but is not limited to):
Receive daily mail for assigned accounts and open and scan mail to appropriate team member or department.
Prepare and process payments received via manual checks in claims system.
Route payment information to Accounting department.
Process Social Security and Disability reimbursements for remittance to assigned accounts.
Answers phone calls and transfer to appropriate team member or department.
Assists Claims Adjuster with their processing duties.
Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite, and adept at learning new computer software programs
Strong communication and Customer Service skills
Preferred but not required - experience using insurance Agency Management System (IVOS etc.)
Strong written & verbal communication skills
High School Diploma Required
Salary : $40,000 - $55,000
