Job Summary
- Support and / or lead the placement of professional liability insurance and ancillary management liability insurance products for large, complex professional service firms / companies; with a focus on large accounting and consulting firms with $50M in annual revenue and more.
- Work closely with account service team leaders to manage client renewal process, including the following tasks :
o Identify, analyze, and quantify risk exposures for clients / prospects and recommend appropriate insurance products and service requirements
o Create and submit renewal specifications to the marketplace and consult with clients in the development of underwriting materials for submission to markets
o Negotiate policy terms, conditions, premiums, and collateral with domestic markets, and work closely with international placement broker
o Create necessary client deliverables documents throughout renewal timeline process
o Present marketing results to clients
o Review quotes, binders, policies and endorsements for accuracy and transmit to clients
o Support investigation and efforts to resolve policy and / or claims issues between insured and insurer
o Support the collection of claims information and payouts, as required
Ensure service of clients' daily account needs are met, this may include insurance requirement responses, certificate requests, and midterm coverage questions or policy needsDevelop and maintain productive business relationships with key insurance underwritersRequest invoices, ensure timely payment and remittanceReview contracts and insurance requirements for clients and identify gaps in coverage, suitability, and errors and document findings for internal quality reviewAssist with special projects and client requestsProduce renewal strategy, renewal presentation and stewardship reportsContribute to winning prospect opportunities, including preparation of capabilities presentations, written RFP responses and oral presentationsCommunicate client developments and service results, market conditions and developments and team member performance to team leadership regularlyQualifications :
Bachelor's Degree; advanced degree a plusMinimum of 7 years of experience in the insurance industry with client service experience with respect to professional liability, executive and / or specialty lines insurance products.Service team experience, including experience negotiating with insurance markets and presenting to clients.Experience working with an agency management system such as Sagitta or SalesforceProficient in Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and AdobeHold appropriate Broker's License(s) or able to obtain one within 3 months of employmentSkillset must include :
Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and collaborativelyAbility to communicate effectively across all levels of the organizationExcellent written and verbal communication skillsOutstanding organizational and time-management skills; detail orientedAbility to remain flexible with changing business requirements and demandsHighly motivated, self-starterProficient in Microsoft Office applications—especially Word and ExcelProficient in Adobe solutionsLicensed professional a plus.The national average salary for this role is $160,000 to $200,000 in base pay and exclusive of any bonuses or benefits. The base pay offered will be determined based on your experience, skills, training, certifications and education, while also considering internal equity and market data.
