Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Pipe Fabrication Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Fabrication team, you will be responsible for performing welding duties using wire welders and fabricating parts according to layouts, engineering drawings, or verbal instructions. You will also work with fitters or fitters/welders to assist in the fabrication or welding of multi-component parts. Your responsibilities will include setting up, laying out work using jigs/fixtures or hand layouts, and operating forklifts, hoists, hand power tools, slings, grinders, cutting torches, and other hand tools related to the job's needs. You will also inspect equipment to maintain functional equipment and notify supervisor/lead or maintenance department if any equipment needs repairs.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must have a high school diploma or GED and at least one year's experience in the field or a related area. You should be able to read, understand, and follow job order specifications, engineering drawings, and/or work orders. You should also be able to cross-train and perform the work of other job tasks in addition to the primary assigned position. Certification/Licenses: None specifically required.
