Job Responsibilities:
The IT Field Technician will Provide hands-on technical support and maintenance for car wash equipment. The focus of the IT Field Technician is to maintain and support the following:
- Maintain automated systems, payment kiosks, point-of-sale (POS) systems, and digital signage.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues on-site to minimize downtime and maintain optimal performance of equipment.
- Perform routine inspections, upgrades, and repairs on car wash machines and related systems.
- Install new IT systems, software, and equipment at various car wash locations.
- Ensure that all new installations are completed on time, correctly, and according to company standards.
- Monitor and maintain local area network (LAN) connections, Wi-Fi, and other network systems to ensure stable communication between car wash stations, POS terminals, and central servers.
- Providing security support and deployment in cabling, NVR/DVRs, Cameras, Access Control, Cabling, Switches, Routers, ISP Modems, and Sensors, Racks, PLCs, HMIs, Relays, VFDs, Sensors
- Able to use different software systems, including Hikvision, Sielox, Pinnacle, SDWAN, VLANs, Device Identification, etc.
- Troubleshoot network-related issues and coordinate with vendors or IT specialists when necessary.
- Track IT equipment and software inventory, ensuring that replacement parts, systems, and accessories are available as needed.
- Manage software licensing and renewals for POS systems, car wash controllers, and other related software.
- Train car wash employees on using new IT systems, software, or equipment.
- Provide customer service support for technical issues, addressing concerns, and ensuring high satisfaction for both employees and customers.
- Maintain accurate records of service activities, repairs, installations, and inventory.
- Generate reports on the status of IT systems and suggest improvements for system performance or efficiency.
- Complete all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- GED or High School Diploma.
- 2 years of field service or technical support experience supporting multiple.
- Proficiency in supporting Windows operating systems.
- Experience in installing common office computer hardware including desktop PC’s, printers and IP phones.
- Experience in racking and installing servers and network devices.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
- Be able to work a flexible schedule (Weekends maybe required)
- Experience in low voltage cabling and termination.
- Preferred knowledge of car wash systems and POS software and hardware.
- Experience in installing, maintaining and troubleshooting security camera systems
- Positive attitude, regular attendance and being a team builder is required.
Essential Functions:
Physical:
- Lifting: Occasionally will need to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Stooping and Bending: Able to stoop, bend, and kneel for extended periods, often for more than 10 minutes at a time, to access and perform tasks at lower levels or ground level.
- Walking / Standing: Comfortable and capable of walking and standing for most of the workday, maintaining good posture and stamina to effectively fulfill job duties. This position requires quick walking and ability to maintain pace throughout the shift.
- Ladders: Occasionally climb and stand on ladders.
- Driving: Must be able to safely drive to all locations as needed following safety rules and regulations.
Communication:
- Ability to effectively communicate with customers and peers to ensure work is done promptly and accurately while following our core values.
- Ability to read and write simple English to document shift events.
- Computer / Interface usage – ability to navigate computer and HMI effectively to handle customer and business transactions appropriately.
