Responsibilities
- Assist with Procedures: Support Cardiologists, Radiologists, and other physicians with diagnostic and interventional vascular and cardiology procedures.
- Sterile Field Maintenance: Prepare and maintain sterile fields and solutions.
- Contrast Media Administration: Administer contrast media as delegated by the physician.
- Radiation Safety: Monitor and enforce radiation safety practices in all areas of the lab.
- Imaging: Position patients and obtain images using a C-arm during surgical procedures.
- Documentation & Compliance: Collaborate with nursing staff on medical documentation.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure equipment is functioning properly.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of previous interventional cardiology and vascular experience.
- Graduation from an approved school of Radiologic Technology (registry eligible).
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Current Ohio Radiographer License.
- Continuous certification in American Heart Association's Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Attain American Heart Association's Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within six months of employment.
