The ideal candidate will have strong IMC and/or ICU experience, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, and ventilator management skills.
Unit Information
The Intermediate Care Unit at 3 South has 8 beds and staffs 10 observation beds separately. Patients may include those with respiratory issues, DKA, arrhythmias, post-operative kidney transplant patients, and interventional neurological patients.
Ratios are 3:1 for IMCU and 4:1 for M/S. First-timers are accepted, but every other weekend is required. BLS and ACLS certifications are necessary, with no call requirement.
The hospital is a Level 1 Trauma Center and a major teaching hospital with 855 total staffed beds. Cerner charting is used, and parking is free for travelers.
