Role Summary
We are currently hiring for a Telemetry PCU - Progressive Care Unit nurse with a minimum of 2 years experience. The ideal candidate will have critical thinking skills, EKG rhythm interpretation, and cardiac drip management expertise.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care in the Telemetry PCU setting, utilizing advanced equipment such as bipaps, high flow O2, vapotherm, alaris pumps, and wound vacs.
- Float between PCU units or med-surg floors as needed, working in a fast-paced environment with up to 1:5 patient ratios.
- Maintain certifications in BLS and ACLS, while also possessing peritoneal dialysis experience and peripheral IV skills.
Requirements
- Tennessee License
- Minimum 2 years experience
- Critical thinking skills, EKG rhythm interpretation, cardiac drip management, insulin drip experience
- Experience with stroke and post-cardiac cath care
- Experience with tube feedings and NG/dobhoff tubes
- BLS
- ACLS
- Peritoneal dialysis experience preferred, peripheral IV skills
