- Skills: MED/Surg, Telemetry-remote monitoring, Use of Rapid Response Team, IV insulin protocols, Colostomy Care, Feeding tube care & management, Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management, Blood Product Administration, Central line blood draw, Peripheral Line Care/Management, Phlebotomy, PICC line management, Starting IVs, Heparin, PCA, Chest tubes-Emerson/Pleuravac, CPAP/BiPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management, Oral Suctioning, Oxygen face masks, Portable Oxygen tank, Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound Vac

JOB DETAILS:
** Contract staff will be assigned and expected to work a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team. Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty or disaster. Consolidation to the Centralized Office mid contract may occur and the contract staff may be preassigned to units as needed
RTO: 7 days MAX;
PATIENT DIAGNOSES: dementia, diabetes, dementia, COVID, pneumonia, COPD, sepsis, encephalopathy, GI bleed, anemia, hip fracture. Typical M/S diagnoses plus COVID
SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS: Isolation area for COVID patients, multi level care to include stepdown (cared for by stepdown staff, not M/S staff)
UNIT SYSTEMS (Medication, Documentation, Communication): Pyxis, Epic, SBAR
SCHEDULING TYPE: based on unit needs
UNIT ORIENTATION: 24 hours
Hospital Orientation week one; traveler must be available for classes each day.
